- Ask how the participant how they are progressing with the (DPR).
- Do they have any questions on the following: Pre-Diabetes, (KVLED), Eating Plan, Food & Beverages List, Food Diary, Exercise Diary or Physical Activity.
- Use KVLED FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) resource to help answer most common questions.
- Check that participants have been completing their Food and Exercise Diaries via their apps.
- Assess participants body weight and composition (e.g., Tanita DC-430MA ,Tanita MC-580 or Tanita MC-780 )
- Measure waist circumference (Seca 201).
- Record results in Participant Measurement Fields .
- Briefly discuss the progress.
- If participant has lost <7.5% of initial body weight, or <6 kg absolute weight loss, advise them to continue with VLED for another 2 weeks.
- Book in for DPR Session 8 in the two weeks.
- If participant has now lost ≥7.5% of initial body weight, or ≥6 kg absolute weight loss, advise it is time to commence stepped food re-introduction.
- Provide participant with Phase 2 Eating Plan and briefly explain.
- Book in for DPR Session 8 in three weeks.
- If participant lost ≥7.5% of initial body weight, or ≥6 kg absolute weight loss in week 8 and has already been following Phase 2 Eating Plan for 3 weeks, provid Phase 3 Eating Plan and briefly explain.
- Book in for DPR Session 8 in three weeks week.
